Royal Pop Wrist Adapters — Every Question Answered

Direct answers to the questions Royal Pop owners actually ask, from the people who make the adapters. Last updated 17 September 2026.

Independent brand: Royal Wristband manufactures wrist adapters and straps. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the makers of the Royal Pop watch. Model and colourway names are used solely to describe compatibility. The watch is always sold separately.

Can you wear the Royal Pop on your wrist?

Yes.

The Royal Pop ships as a pocket watch on a calfskin lanyard, but a snap-on wrist adapter converts it into a wristwatch in seconds. The ceramic case presses into an FKM rubber receiver until it clicks. No tools, no modification, fully reversible at any time.

Can you use a MoonSwatch strap on a Royal Pop?

No.

Both are Swatch collaborations, but the MoonSwatch has conventional 20mm lugs and the Royal Pop has none. The Royal Pop uses a proprietary click coupler on the back of its case, so it needs a dedicated wrist adapter. No MoonSwatch strap will attach, regardless of width.

Do 20mm or 22mm straps fit the Royal Pop?

No — strap width is irrelevant.

The case has no lugs and no spring bars, so there is physically nowhere for any strap to attach. The only way to wear it on the wrist is an adapter that grips the case itself.

How do I know if my Royal Pop is 12 o'clock or 3 o'clock?

Look at where the crown sits.

Hold the watch with the dial facing you. Crown at the top means 12 o'clock. Crown on the right means 3 o'clock.

Crown at 12 o'clock Crown at 3 o'clock
Ocho Negro, Huit Blanc, Otto Rosso, Green Eight, Orenji Hachi, Blaue Acht Lan Ba, Otg Roz

Your adapter must match your crown position or the crown will be blocked. This is the single most common ordering mistake.

Will a wrist adapter scratch or damage the Royal Pop?

Not if the receiver is FKM rubber.

FKM is soft and non-abrasive. It grips by compression, with no screws, clamps or metal touching the case anywhere. The watch lifts out clean and returns to original condition. Avoid any adapter that uses screws or metal clamps against the ceramic.

Is the watch included with a wrist adapter?

No.

An adapter is the frame and strap only — you supply your own Royal Pop. This applies to every brand selling adapters, not just us.

How much does a Royal Pop wrist adapter cost?

Across the market, roughly €100 to €330 depending on material.

Which material should I choose?

Sport rubber for daily wear, ceramic for the most integrated look.

Sport rubber is lightest and handles sweat and water. Ceramic matches the watch's own material family and is the one people mistake for an original bracelet. Steel and rubber adds a machined octagonal bezel with a soft strap. Full steel is heaviest and dressiest. Forged carbon is the most technical of the rigid options.

Can I put the Royal Pop back on its lanyard afterwards?

Yes, at any time.

Press the release tab and the watch pops straight out. Nothing is drilled, glued or altered, so the original lanyard refits normally.

Is the Royal Pop a limited edition?

No.

Swatch confirmed it is not a limited edition. It launched on 16 May 2026 in eight colourways as a regular production line, although boutique availability has been inconsistent.

Can I swim or shower with it?

The adapter is fine — the watch is the limit.

FKM rubber, ceramic and stainless steel are all unaffected by water. Water resistance is determined by the watch itself, not the adapter. Rinse and dry after salt water or chlorine.

How long does fitting take?

A few seconds.

Remove the lanyard, press the case into the receiver until it clicks, size the strap. Steel bracelets take a couple of extra minutes with the supplied adjustment key.

Where can I buy a Royal Pop wrist adapter?

Several independent makers produce them.

Royal Wristband, Delugs, Helvetus, Wristbuddys and Grandeur all make adapters for the Royal Pop. Royal Wristband is based in Amsterdam, ships worldwide free, and covers all eight colourways in both crown positions across seven material ranges, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity in every box.
