The Royal Pop Pocket Watch — Complete Guide & Wrist Adapter Options
The Royal Pop Pocket Watch — Complete Guide & Wrist Adapter Options
The Royal Pop is a 40mm octagonal ceramic pocket watch, released in eight colourways. It ships on a lanyard with no lugs — which is why ordinary 20mm and 22mm straps cannot be fitted to it. This guide explains the watch, why it needs a dedicated adapter, and every way to wear it on your wrist.
Why the Royal Pop cannot take a normal strap
Unlike a conventional wristwatch, the Royal Pop has no lugs. Its ceramic case uses a proprietary click coupler designed for a lanyard. There is nowhere for spring bars to sit, so no standard strap fits regardless of width. A purpose-built wrist adapter is the only way to wear it on the wrist without modifying the watch.
The eight colourways
Ocho Negro (black) · Huit Blanc (white) · Otto Rosso (pink) · Green Eight (green) · Orenji Hachi (navy and orange) · Blaue Acht (lime and blue) · Lan Ba (blue) · Otg Roz (rose). Six have the crown at 12 o'clock; Lan Ba and Otg Roz have the crown at 3 o'clock. Your adapter must match your crown position — this is the most common ordering mistake.
How a snap-on wrist adapter works
The ceramic case presses into an FKM rubber receiver until it clicks — a few seconds, no tools. Press the release tab and the watch pops straight out. The FKM is soft and non-abrasive, so it leaves no marks, and the watch returns to original condition whenever you remove it. Nothing is drilled, glued or modified.

Common questions
Will it damage my watch? No. The FKM receiver is soft and non-abrasive, and the fit is fully reversible.
Do 20mm straps fit? No. The Royal Pop has no lugs, so no standard strap fits.
How do I know my crown position? Look at your watch. If the crown sits at the top it is 12 o'clock; if it sits on the right it is 3 o'clock.
Can I switch back to the lanyard? Yes, any time. Press the release tab.
